1. Acceptance of these Terms

By making a booking and entering Moody's Dog Field, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions. The person making the booking accepts these Terms on behalf of all members of their party.

2. Use of the Field

Moody's Dog Field provides a private, secure dog exercise area within a natural countryside environment.

Whilst every reasonable effort is made to maintain the field, fencing, gates and facilities in a safe condition, no outdoor environment can be guaranteed to be entirely free from hazards. Customers acknowledge that use of the field is at their own risk.

3. Owner Responsibility

Dog owners and handlers remain fully responsible for their dogs at all times whilst using the facility.

This includes responsibility for:

supervising dogs throughout the booking, within the field and car park;
ensuring dogs remain under effective control;
assessing whether the field is suitable for their individual dog;
preventing damage to property;
ensuring the safety of other people accompanying them;
ensuring dogs are never left unattended;
ensuring they bring sufficient water, food and any other essentials required for themselves and their dog(s), as no utilities are available on site.

4. Health Declaration

By making a booking, you confirm that all dogs attending:

are fit and healthy;
are free from any contagious illness;
are not displaying symptoms of infectious disease;
are suitably vaccinated in accordance with veterinary advice;
are appropriately treated for fleas, ticks and worms.

Dogs known or suspected to have infectious illnesses, including kennel cough, canine influenza, parvovirus or similar diseases, must not attend.

5. Injuries, Illness & Veterinary Care

Although reasonable care is taken to maintain a safe environment, Moody's Dog Field cannot guarantee that dogs will not suffer injury, illness or other harm whilst using the field.

The field is a natural agricultural pasture and users acknowledge that dogs may encounter naturally occurring hazards including:

uneven ground;
rabbit holes;
tree roots;
mud;
standing water;
insects and ticks;
naturally occurring plants and fungi;
wildlife.

Owners remain responsible for monitoring their dogs during and after each visit and for obtaining veterinary treatment where required.

Customers should inspect the field before allowing dogs off lead and report any concerns immediately.

Moody's Dog Field shall not be responsible for veterinary costs unless liability arises directly from negligence where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

6. Escaping Dogs

The field has been designed to provide a secure enclosed exercise area. However, no fence or gate system can guarantee that every dog will be unable to escape. Owners are responsible for determining whether the enclosure is suitable for their individual dog before allowing them off lead.

If any defect is noticed with fencing, gates or equipment, customers must keep their dog(s) securely restrained and notify Moody's Dog Field immediately.

7. Field Conditions

The field is maintained as a natural grass pasture. Ground conditions will vary throughout the year depending on weather and seasonal growth.

Customers should expect:

wet grass;
mud;
uneven surfaces;
longer grass in designated areas;
natural vegetation;
wildlife activity.

These are normal characteristics of a countryside environment and appropriate footwear, clothing and reasonable precautions should be taken.

8. Parking & Highway Safety

Vehicles must park only within the designated parking area.

The approved turning area must be used so that vehicles leave the site in forward gear.

Drivers must exercise care when entering and leaving the site and be considerate towards pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and other road users using Higher House Lane.

Vehicles and their contents are left entirely at the owner's risk.

9. Children

Children are welcome but must remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times.

Parents and guardians accept full responsibility for children accompanying them.

10. Waste

Owners must immediately remove all dog waste and dispose of it responsibly using the bins provided or remove it from site.

Dog waste bags must not be left anywhere on the site other than in the designated bins.

Failure to clean up after dogs may result in future bookings being refused.

11. Damage

Customers accept responsibility for any damage caused by themselves, members of their party or their dogs to:

fencing;
gates;
equipment;
seating;
signage;
parking areas;
neighbouring property.

The cost of repair may be recovered where appropriate.

12. Booking Conditions

Bookings must be made in advance.

Each booking lasts 50 minutes, followed by a mandatory 10-minute changeover period.

Customers must leave promptly at the end of their allocated session.

The field must not be entered before the previous customer has safely departed.

Customers arriving late will still be required to leave at the end of their allocated booking time.

13. Maximum Number of Dogs

No more than 10 dogs may use the facility at any one time, in accordance with the planning permission granted by Chorley Council.

Professional dog walkers remain responsible for ensuring this limit is never exceeded.

14. Operating Hours

The field may only be used between 07:00 and 19:00, Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays.

No access is permitted to the public outside of these hours.

15. External Lighting

No external lighting is provided.

Customers should allow sufficient time to leave the site safely before darkness if visibility becomes unsuitable.

16. Equipment

Any agility equipment, seating or other facilities provided on site are used entirely at the customer's own discretion. Owners remain responsible for supervising dogs whilst using any equipment.

Equipment should only be used if customers consider it appropriate for their dog's age, size and ability.

17. Cancellation Policy

Bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before the booking start time may be refunded or transferred.

Bookings cancelled within 24 hours are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.

Failure to attend a booking without prior notice will be treated as a non-refundable cancellation.

Moody's Dog Field reserves the right to cancel bookings where weather conditions, maintenance or unforeseen circumstances make the site unsafe. Where possible, an alternative booking or refund will be offered.

18. CCTV

CCTV may operate at Moody's Dog Field for the purposes of:

site security;
crime prevention;
public safety;
protection of customers and property;
investigation of incidents;
investigating breaches of these Terms & Conditions.

Images may be retained and shared with the police, insurers or other relevant authorities where legally required.

19. Right to Refuse Entry

Moody's Dog Field reserves the right to refuse entry, terminate a booking or refuse future bookings where customers:

breach these Terms & Conditions;
behave aggressively or abusively;
fail to control their dogs;
deliberately damage property;
create an unacceptable risk to others.

No refund will normally be offered in these circumstances.

20. Limitation of Liability

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability which cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to the above, Moody's Dog Field shall not be liable for:

injury, illness or death of dogs arising from risks inherent in a natural countryside environment;
injuries sustained through normal dog play or interaction;
loss of dogs where reasonable precautions have been taken to maintain the security of the site;
loss, theft or damage to personal belongings or vehicles;
consequential or indirect losses arising from use of the facility.

21. Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

22. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

23. Emergencies

In the event of an emergency involving a customer, dog or vehicle, Moody's Dog Field reserves the right to enter the field, contact the emergency services, or take any reasonable action considered necessary to protect the safety of people, animals or property.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the contact details provided at the time of booking remain accurate and up to date.
